Having spent the last 20 years on the East Coast of Yorkshire waiting for those long hot summers to come, we decided that a change was required. As an Engineer and Financial Controller we felt we had worked hard all our lives and the UK in general, was just not offering us what we wanted, nor was it going to - there had to be something better out there… So after much deliberation and research, in September 2005 we sold our property in the UK and relocated to Turkey. We began working for one of the Largest Real Estate Agents in Europe and after a further 14 months, an opportunity arose to work in Italy with the same Company, which we accepted. It was a great experience working in Italy but after 12 months we realised there was something about the Turkish people and their lifestyle that we missed. We returned in May 2008 to find a new development being constructed called Olivium Homes just walking distance from our own home. Cutting a long story short, we are now the representatives of Olivium Homes and our future pension funds will come via our investment in a 2 bedroom apartment at the place where we work! |
